S. D Announces New Fee For Obtaining Vital Records

Effective February 5, 2009 the fee for either a certified or informational copy of a South Dakota birth, death, fetal death, marriage or divorce wil be $15.00.  Record applications received after February 4, 2009 will need to have the $15.00 fee with the application.  The cost to prepare a new certificate after adoptions will also increase to $15.00
